Welcome to Stoneleigh

About Stoneleigh

The Stoneleigh townhome community is one of the most sought after subdivisions in McLean Virginia.  There are 134 townhomes built in the late 1960’s or early 1970’s.  The townhomes are built solidly with Colonial exteriors and brick construction.  All of the homes have three bedrooms and either 2.5 or 3 baths. Many of the units feature walkout basements and have been renovated.

The property offers convenient access to the popular swim and tennis clubs, parks, newly renovated library, excellent schools, and is walking distance to downtown McLean shops and restaurants as well as the McLean farmers market during the summer

Community events include Easter egg hunts, garden tours, Fourth of July parade, annual picnic and Christmas carolling.

Stoneleigh features large trees and lush landscaping. Stoneleigh has over 30 varieties of trees, our largest being the great Pin Oaks. Landscaping crews are on site every 7 to 10 days to mow the grass, and prune shrubs and bushes 3 times during the growing season.  Each spring, all beds are mulched and each fall the landscaping company pick-up falling leaves. Snow removal services in the winter include parking lots and sidewalks.

Stoneleigh is convenient to major roadways in Virginia, Maryland and D.C.  It is inside the beltway, within walking distance to downtown McLean shopping and dining, and a short five minute drive to Tyson’s corner, Tyson’s Galleria and only 20 minutes to Alexandria, Bethesda and Washington D.C.

Stoneleigh is in very close proximity to two international airports; Ronald Reagan Washington National and Washington Dulles International.  Both airports can be reached within 30 minutes drive, and both offer ample parking and flights to domestic and international destinations. Reagan National has its own Metro stop, and with the expansion of the Metro Silver line, Dulles will be reachable via Metro as well.

Stoneleigh is also close to two Metro stations: West Falls Church on the Orange Line, and McLean Station on the new Silver Line.  We also have a Metro bus stop directly in front of the property.

HOA Board

Stoneleigh is governed by a seven member board.  The Board members are volunteer homeowners who live in the community and donate their time to manage the community and its affairs.  The Board of Directors is responsible for management, maintenance, operation and control of the common areas within the community, as well as overseeing compliance with the Association’s governing documents.

The Board employs Cardinal Management Company to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Association, and Rees Broome, PC, for legal representation.  The Board also establishes various committees to perform specific functions in support of the Board and the Association.

The seven Board members are community volunteers, elected at the Annual meeting in November.  Each board member is elected to a two year term.  There are currently no vacant positions on the Board, but there are openings for community members to support the Board by serving on committees.  Please contact Greg May if you are interested in supporting our community.

The Board meets monthly, typically on the last Tuesday of each month at 7PM.  Meetings are held at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer. The Association’s Annual Meeting and election of officers is held in November. Please see the residents or calendar page for the next upcoming meeting.

You may communicate with the Board through the Managing Agent or by email.

If you're a resident here, please take a moment to send us your contact information. The Board will only use this information to send important notices to all community members. Thank you!

Message from the Board:

Hello Parents and Students! We are about to start the 2017-2018 school year and the Fairfax County Police Department would like to remind everyone that we need to work together to ensure that everyone has a safe school year. We would like to remind you that there are several traffic-related safety issues that, if ignored, could create unsafe situations. These situations include Speeding, Stop Signs, School Buses, Stopping on the Roadway, and Seatbelts. Let’s call them the “5 S’s of Safety.” (please see back to school safety newsletter).
